One of the groups who’s been lobbying Paschal Donoghue is Family Carers Ireland who represent almost 200-thousand people caring for loved ones in the home.
They’ve prepared a detailed pre-Budget submission with some very specific and well-costed requests which they believe will ultimately save the government money in the long run.
As you may know, they have an office in Ennis which offers a range of support services and Morning Focus Producer Fiona McGarry’s paid them a visit to speak with Victoria Ward, Family Support Officer, who took her through their submission.
