On Friday’s Morning Focus, Pat Flynn spoke to 67-year-old Kimihil man, Michael McInerney.
His neighbour registered Michael for the vaccine in April when the portal opened, but up until he contacted Clare FM this week, he had yet to receive an appointment for vaccination.
Michael made numerous phone-calls, and had been told that he was issued appointments that he was never contacted about and was told on multiple occasions that his case was prioritised – yet he was still waiting to be contacted this week.
He got in touch with Morning Focus on Thursday, who then contacted the HSE on his behalf.
Michael told Pat Flynn, about his experience and how he contacted Clare FM as a last resort to try and secure an appointment – which is what happened after Morning Focus inquired about his vaccination.
