There are calls for multi-national companies coming to Clare to be required to contribute towards housing stock for new employees.
It comes as new figures show there has been a 20% increase in jobs created by IDA client companies here in the last five years.
The Industrial Development Agency now supports approximately 70 companies in this county, which employ almost 6,000 people.
