A professed member of the Sisters of St. Francis.
Sister Moira died on December 22nd, 2025, in her 85th year in the loving care of her Franciscian Sister Family at Assisi House, Philidelphia, USA.
Continuing her lifelong commitment to helping others by donating her body to science.
Sr. Moira is predeceased by her beloved parents Martin and Mary Francis, her sister-in law Catherine and brother-in Law PJ Griffin.
She will be fondly remembered by her Franciscian Family, and is survived by her sisters Sr. Teresa, Anne & Carmel, brother Michael and brother-in law Paddy Mc Mahon, niece Mary B and nephews Patrick, Martin, Liam, Tony, Senan and Pat, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family members, cousins, neighbours and the many people whom were touched by her genuine warmth, wisdom and gentle spirit through her life ministry.
Services will be held in Our Lady of Angels Chapel, Aston, Philadelphia in the USA, on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026.

Month’s Mind Mass for Sr. Moira will take place in St. Senan’s Church, Kilrush, Co. Clare on Saturday the 17th January @ 6:30pm and can be viewed live on the Kilrush Parish Webcam by following this link https://www.kilrushparish.com/webcam
