Mary O’Callaghan (née Hillery)

Ballinalacken Castle, Doolin, Co. Clare. Mary passed away peacefully at home on the 20th May 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Denis, parents Bridget and Michael, brothers Michael, Paddy and Jim and sisters Brid, Joan and Eileen and her recently deceased nephew Ronan.

Sadly missed by her sons Declan and Colin, daughters Marian, Michelle and Deirdre, daughters-in-law Cecilia and Anne, sons-in-law Frankie, Cathal and Michael, adored grandchildren Blathnaid, Tristan, Jack, Rebecca, Killian, Saoirse, Daniel, Denis, Aisling, Sadhbh, April, Ronan and Luke, sister Maud, brothers-in-law Tom, Dan (Maragret) and Leonard (Irene), nephews, nieces, relatives, her wonderful carers, neighbours, extended family and friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Mary will repose at Holy Rosary Church, Doolin on Thursday (21st May) from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.

Funeral Mass on Friday (22nd May) at 11 am, followed by burial in Doolin Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Palliative Care Team at Milford Hospice.

The family would like to thank Ballyvaughan Medical Centre, the Palliative Care team at Milford Hospice, all her wonderful Carers for the great care they took of our mother in recent years.

House strictly Private.

As a mark of respect, Ballinalacken Castle, O’Callaghan & Co Accountants, Ennis, O’Brien Crafts, Doolin and Sheedy’s Doolin B&B will be closed all day Thursday, 21st May, 2026 and Friday, 22nd May, 2026.
