Your Council Day 2026, which takes places today, is a national campaign aimed at shining a light on the vital work of county and city councils across the country.

Clare County Council has over 1,000 staff and provides over 1,000 services countywide.
Its Communications Officer, Claire Gallagher, believes many people don’t realise how many different types of workers are employed by the council.
