More than 100 cyclists will be passing through Clare later this summer as part of what’s been described as a gruelling 600-kilometre journey across Munster.
The annual Tour de Munster charity cycle supports the vital work of Down Syndrome Ireland and helps fund services for people with Down syndrome and their families throughout the province.
Now in its 26th year, the event passes through the county on Friday, August 7th, with a welcome event taking place in Ennis at 10am, featuring music and dance, and an opportunity to meet the cyclists.
More than €5.5 million has been raised since the event began, with funds remaining in the region and Committee member of Down Syndrome Ireland’s Clare Branch, Sean McKillen, says the money makes a huge difference to local families.
