WindEnergy Ireland Claims Kilmihil Residents Will Benefit From Cahermurphy Project

Wind Energy Ireland insists Kilmihil residents will see the benefits of the proposed Cahermurphy Windfarm.

The representative group for the wind energy sector has pointed to a recent SEAI survey which shows 67% of people living within 10km of a windfarm in Ireland believe they’ve had a positive impact.

The Cahermurphy West Windfarm would involve eight turbines up to 185 metres in height and the developer claims it has the potential to power up to 40,000 homes per year.

Wind Energy Ireland Director of External Affairs Justin Moran believes it’s needed.
