There’s been a slight reduction in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today, though trolley numbers at Univeristy Hospital Limerick remain almost double the next busiest facility.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 80 admitted patients waiting for beds at the Dooradoyle facility during morning rounds, 34 of those in the Emergency Department.
