The Transport Minister has poured cold water on the prospect of a railway link between Shannon Airport and Limerick City.
That’s despite claims that such a project could lead to an increase in passengers passing through Shannon.

Fine Gael Senator Kieran O’Donnell has proposed Sixmilebridge and Cratloe as potential sites for a spur off the Limerick to Ennis line, to link with Shannon. A similar project had also been proposed by Sinn Féin’s Paul Gavan in recent weeks.’
