A traffic management system will be in place in parts of East Clare next week for the country’s oldest horse fair.
The Spancilhill Fair, which is believed to have begun over 400 years ago, traditionally attracts thousands of visitors and traders from both Ireland and abroad.

This year’s event takes place on Monday, with a number of competitions, as well as traders’ stalls and other activities.
PRO for the Spancilhill Fair Committee, Michael O’Connor says a number of diversions will be in place in the area.
