The community of Newmarket-on-Fergus and beyond will come together this Sunday to remember former Clare hurler Anthony “Sconey” Kilmartin, who died tragically in the US.
Anthony, who has been remembered as a natural leader and much-loved member of the community, passed away in New York earlier this year.

This year’s annual Newmarket-on-Fergus tractor run, taking place on Sunday, will feature tractors, trucks, motorbikes and cars in Sconey’s memory, with all proceeds going to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
One of the organisers, Sarah Lynch, says the charity, which provided invaluable help to the Kilmartin family, is a worthy cause.
