Three Clare organisations are to receive a combined 23.6 million euro in funding under an international investment programme.
The Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP) is an Irish residency-by-investment scheme established by the Department of Justice, which closed to new applicants in 2023.
It enabled high-net-worth, non-EEA nationals to secure secure Irish residency status in exchange for substantial, long-term investments in Irish enterprises, approved investment funds, or philanthropic endowments.
Ennis Rugby Club has been awarded €2 million, while Brothers of Charity will receive €5.6 million.
Hometree has been allocated €16 million to support the Wild Atlantic Rainforest Project, an ambitious initiative aimed at restoring Ireland’s lost temperate rainforests while creating new opportunities for rural communities.
