Ten cows have been killed following a lightning strike in West Clare.
The field they were grazing in was hit yesterday afternoon near Kilkee.

The animals were found on their backs and sides after a thunderstorm in the area.
Owner of the cows, Michael Murray, says it came as such a shock.
