The Taoiseach has pledged to raise the case for a Shannon Airport based Air Ambulance with the Health Minister.
Calls have grown for the service in this county due to persistently lengthy ambulance waiting times and the HSE’s recent decision to locate a new hospital campus in Raheen rather than Clare.

The matter was raised in the Dáil this week by Clare Fianna Fáil TD Cathal Crowe.
Responding, Taoiseach Micheál Martin says a serious body of research will be needed to support the move.
