Frances Fitzgerald is fighting to save her political career after facing further questions from the Opposition on her handling of the Maurice McCabe controversy.
Sinn Fein has said it will table a motion of no confidence in the Tanaiste, unless it’s satisfied with her answers regarding an email from May 2015.

Sinn Fein has said it will table a motion of no confidence in the Tanaiste, unless it’s satisfied with her answers regarding an email from May 2015.
Fianna Fáil TDs have indicated they might back Sinn Fein if questions aren’t answered to their satisfaction.
That set up an intriguing bout of leaders questions, taken by Frances Fitzgerald in the Dáil in the past hour.
Sinn Fein’s Mary Lou McDonald said Frances Fitzgerald failed to protect Sergeant McCabe.
But the Tanaiste stuck to her script and said she could not legally interfere in the O’Higgins Inquiry.
Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator, Martin Conway, who is his party’s Seanad Justice Spokesman defended the Tánaiste, insisting Frances Fitzgerald acted appropriately on the matter.
