Members of the European Parliament are calling for measures that would tackle excessive workloads and give employees the right to disconnect outside working hours.

The resolution would also provide stronger protections against work-related stress, with 29% of EU workers saying work either caused or worsened their depression or anxiety in 2025.
Operations Manager at Grow Remote, which has a chapter in Ennis, Caitlín McConn, says implementing the measures could prove challenging given the cultural differences across the bloc.
