The number of passengers handled at Shannon Airport has increased by more than 34% in the last twelve months.
Between April and June over 272,000 people arrived at the Clare facility, the majority of which disembarked planes from the London airports of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, while the Boston-Logan service brought more than 15,000 to the county.

Over 274,000 departed from Shannon in this timeframe with the most popular outbound routes outside of the UK being New York JFK, Newark and Reus in Spain.
During this period Shannon also handled 4,074 tonnes of international and national freight traffic.
