A search is underway for a missing child in Shannon.
Eleven year-old Amelia is understood to have gone missing from her home in the early hours of this morning.

Amelia’s family and Gardaí are extremely concerned for her welfare and Gardaí say they are treating the incident as high risk.
Amelia is described as being 5 foot tall with straight blonde hair and looking old for her age.
It’s expected she may visit shops in the area.
