Fine Gael will not be complacent in assuming it will win the general election.
That's the verdict of Enda Kenny who's reacting to a new opinion poll showing falling support for his party.
The Ipsos MRBI poll in today's Irish Times shows Fine Gael on 28 per cent, down two points from the last similar poll in November.
The latest IPSOS MRBI poll in todays Irish Times – sampled 1,200 voters on Monday and Tuesday of this week – and has a margin of error of 3 per cent.
It shows Fine Geal's support has dropped two points to 28%.
Enda Kenny says Fine Gael is taking nothing for granted.
The poll show's support for Fianna Fail is up – two points to 21%.
But, Speaking in Waterford this morning, Fianna Fail Leader Micheál Martin said polls will come and go and the only one that matters is on February 26th.
It also shows Sinn Fein are on 19 percent, that's down two, while Labour are unchanged at 7 per cent.
But, the Labour leader Joan Burton says she's very confident there will be a boost in the polls for her party in the last week of the election.
