The number of US troops at Shannon jumped by 80 per cent as a result of the war in Iran.
In January, 2 thousand and 12 troops travelled through the airport – that number rose by almost 600 the following month.

In March, after the conflict started, 3 thousand 604 troops travelled through Shannon, according to The Irish Times.
The Government has previously denied facilitating US attacks by allowing planes to use Irish airspace.
