Met Éireann Issues Status Yellow High Temperature Warning For Clare

A status yellow high temperature alert has been issued for Clare, as the mercury continues to rise over the coming days.

Met Éireann says temperatures could soar to 29 degrees celcius here on Saturday, particularly in the East of the county.

The weather alert comes into force from noon on Saturday until 6am Sunday morning, with potential impacts including water safety issues, heat stress and uncomfortable sleeping conditions, while forrest fires are also a possibility.

Temperatures are expected to peak at 24 degrees here today, and 27 degrees tomorrow, meanwhile, and Met Éireann Forecaster Mathew Martin says it’s unlikely we’ll experience a heatwave in this county.
