A public meeting aiming to build opposition to Ireland’s first ever strategic gas reserve to be located in the Shannon Estuary will take place this weekend.
Futureproof Clare claims the proposed floating LNG terminal at Cahercon in Kildysart will lead to the state becoming reliant on the importation of fracked gas.

The event will take place at the Temple Gate Hotel in Ennis this Sunday at 7pm.
Futureproof Clare Spokesperson and University of Galway Lecturer Dr Sinéad Sheehan believes it will also have a detrimental impact on local tourism.
