A 38-year-old Wicklow man been remanded in custody having been charged with the murder of mother of three, Anne Shortall.
Roy Webster of Ashbre, Killoughter appeared before Bray District Court earlier today.
He has been charged with the murder of Anne Shortall in Wicklow last Friday.
The mother of 3's body was discovered in a shed at Killoughter two days ago.
Detective Sergeant Fergus O'Brien gave evidence that Roy Webster made no reply after caution when charged at Wicklow Garda Station last night.
Following a request by his solicitor Judge David Kennedy directed that the 38 year old be psychologically assessed while in prison.
The judge remanded him to Cloverhill prison until his next court appearance on this day week.
