A man arrested at Shannon Airport last weekend concerning an alleged incident on a flight is due before Ennis District Court again today.
25-year-old Ioan Remi Makula, of 52 Fearann Ri, Doughiska, Galway is charged with an offence contrary to the Air Navigation and Transport Act.

It’s alleged Mr Makula engaged in behaviour of a threatening, abusive or insulting nature whether by word or gesture with intent to cause of breach of the peace on a flight from Shannon to Manchester last Friday evening.
The accused, who is understood to be on medication, is believed to be receiving a psychiatric assessment while in custody.
