An unaccompanied learner driver has been arrested after failing a roadside drug test in South-East Clare this afternoon.
As part of National Slow Down Day, Gardaí have been conducting speed enforcement operations nationwide.
Earlier today , members of Clare’s Roads Policing Unit detected a BMW Saloon travelling at 76 KM per hour in a 50 zone near Kilmurry National School.
The learner driver was uninsured, unaccompanied and tested positive for Cannabis.
The motorist will face disqualification if convicted in court.
