A North Clare doctor says GP’s involvement in the booster vaccine roll-out will impact on non-covid care.

It comes as the chief medical officer did not recommend new Covid restrictions when he met government party leaders last night.

But Dr Tony Holohan presented them with new modelling about the rapid spread of the Omicron variant.

Meanwhile, a walk-in booster clinic for Covid-19 vaccines is open in Ennis today.

Vaccinators will be administering boosters at Ennis Hospital’s Former Outpatient Department between 8.30am and 6.30pm.

Those aged between 50 and 69 who have received their second dose of a covid vaccine at least three months ago are eligble to receive the jab.
