Irish Water is to commence works on watermains in Doonbeg today.
Approximately 1.3km of asbestos cement pipes will be replaced in the town as part of the utility company’s national leakage reduction programme.

The works, being carried out by Shareridge Utilities, will take place on the along the N67 from Milltown Road to Killard Road and are expected to be completed by mid-December.
Irish Water is warning there may be some short-term water outages but customers will be given a minimum of 48 hours notice before any planned disruption to supply.
