Ireland’s Bankruptcy Period Could Be Reduced Before Christmas

Legislation to reduce Ireland's bankruptcy period to one year could be introduced before Christmas.

Enda Kenny says the justice minister will bring her plans for further changes to the system within weeks.

It follows the report of an Oireachtas committee which asked for the period to be reduced from three years to one.

The Taoiseach says he's keen to get any necessary laws pushed through as soon as possible
