Although the proposed hospital campus at Raheen will likely result in a new Emergency Department for the MidWest, over 40% of Clare’s population will still be living over an hour’s drive away from their nearest ED.
Friends of Ennis Hospital Chairperson Angela Coll believes the only solution is an acute facility in Clare.
