The Government is being urged to pay contractors directly to increase energy retrofits in Clare.
It comes as Tánaiste Simon Harris has instructed senior officials to draw up plans to help households struggling with soaring gas and electricity bills.

It’s understood the measures will include one-off payments for heat pumps and electric vehicles.
Ennis Environmental Action Spokesperson Bridget Ginnity believes there are simpler and more cost effective solutions.
