A Garda investigation is underway after a number of beehives in Clare were set alight using an accelerant.
The criminal damage incident occurred at Ballyhickey, Quin last Tuesday, April 7th, and resulted in the loss of around 1,000 bees.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or any unusual activity in the area, to come forward.
