Four music venues in Clare are set to benefit from funding under the Grassroots Music Venues Support Scheme.
Following a successful pilot scheme in 2025, funding for the initiative has increased to €1 million this year to support grassroots venues and help showcase emerging musicians and performers across Ireland.
Sixty venues nationwide have been approved for funding of up to €20,000 under the 2026 scheme which also supports venues promoting Irish comedy and emerging comedians, up from 34 venues last year.
The Clare venues receiving funding are The Attic in Doolin, Kenny’s in Lahinch and Pot Duggans in Ennistymon, which will each receive €20,000, while The Greyhound in Kilkee will receive €7,900.
