Record-breaking heat could be experienced in Clare over the coming days.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid to high twenties between today and Wednesday and Met Éireann is forecasting the highest readings could be recorded in this county.

The warmest day ever recorded in Shannon saw 27.8 degrees in 2012, with the all-time May record of 28.4 degrees set in Kerry.
The national forecaster says those temperatures could be challenged here this week.
Tullycrine-based Met Éireann Forecaster, Michelle Dillon says the mercury will return to more normal levels towards the end of the week.
