Organisers of the Inis Fest music festival say they have not given up hope of staging the event this year.
The event was cancelled in light of objections from some Ennis residents, though organisers had predicted a major economic boost from the town.
The three-day Inis Fest, due to take place at Tim Smyth Park in June, was cancelled nearly two weeks ago after residents in the area raised concerns about a potential spike in anti-social behaviour.
An agreement could not be found despite a number of public meetings.
The decision also disappointed many fans who had hoped to go along to the concerts, and in a statement today Inis Fest organisers have thanked the public for what's described as "overwhelming support."
Details of how ticket-buyers can secure refunds have also been published, but organisers also say there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes.
No further details have been confirmed, but Clare FM understands that talks have been held with a number of potential alternative venues with a view to arranging some form of event in 2015.
Tim Smythe Park is out, though sources have been keen to stress that nothing has been finalised at this stage.
