Clare’s ambulance service is to see a major boost to its resources later this year.
In a meeting with Midwest Oireachtas members organised by Bodyke Fine Gael TD Joe Cooney today, the National Ambulance Service has confirmed that five new ambulances are to be added to this county’s fleet.

Additionally, 27 highly-trained staff will be assigned to locations across Clare.
Tulla-based Fianna Fáil Minister of State Timmy Dooley has been telling Clare FM’s Seán Lyons while it will go “some way towards resolving” the issues with the service here, more investment is required to bring it up to an “acceptable standard”.
