Around 9,000 music fans were due to attend three nights of concerts at Tim Smythe Park in June, but organisers cancelled it after they met still opposition from local residents.

They had predicted that 1.5 million euro would have been generated for the local economy, if Inis Fest had gone ahead.

Interim CEO of Ennis Chamber Alec Fleming feels it's a blow for local companies.
