Dromoland Castle Holdings report strong profits

The company which runs Dromoland Castle and the former Clare Inn has reported an 18% rise in operating profits last year.

Dromoland Castle Holdings Limited recorded sales revenues of €13.7 million last year, a figure the company describes as a strong performance.

Revenues include income from what is now known as ‘The Inn at Dromoland’, formerly the Clare Inn, which was purchased by Dromoland Castle last July.  200 staff are employed at both hotels.

Speaking in light of the results, Managing Director Mark Nolan says ‘Shannon Airport is critical to the future of tourism in the areas, and welcomed an upturn in the airport’s fortunes following separation from the DAA.
