The CEO of Doras is urging people in Clare to consider hosting Ukrainian refugees in light of the recent threat to displace 135 women and children in Killarney.
Doras is hosting an information event tomorrow, for those currently providing accommodation and those interested in hosting Ukrainians in the Mid West region.
Taking place in the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel from 6pm tomorrow evening, a number of organisations will give presentations on what you should know as a host, the services and supports available to guests, training for hosts, and responding to challenges in the hosting of refugees.
CEO of Doras, John Lannon, says the situation in Killarney, highlights the importance of offering ‘stability’ within a community.
