The death has taken place of the Parish priest of O Callaghan’s Mills Fr Hugh O Dowd.
The Sixmilbridge native served as priest in the Killaloe Diocese for 47 years

He had previously worked in St Flannan’s College and was appointed Parish Priest of Ogonnelloe in 1997 and Parish Priest of O’Callaghan’s Mills in 2009
