Clare’s Green Senator believes car-sharing should be among the measures considered by people to mitigate rising fuel costs.

It comes as the Government is set to unveil a further package of energy supports next week, which will include advice on cutting back car journeys.

It’s understood that the extension of the fuel allowance as well as the abolition of the PSO levy is being examined by Energy Minister Eamon Ryan.
