Clare County Council is inviting landowners to zone suitable sites for residential use in a bid to clamp down on the housing crisis.
As it stands, there are currently just shy of 2,700 households on Clare’s social housing list.

The local authority is seeking proposals for greenfield, brownfield, infill, and regeneration sites in towns and villages excluding Shannon and rural countryside areas up until December 19th.
Clare County Council Senior Planner Helen Quinn says they want to deliver new homes on these sites from next year.
