Clare VFI Chair Says Pubs Feel ‘Unsupported’ After Wage Subsidy Scheme Cuts

The Clare Chair of the VFI says pubs in this county and elsewhere feel ‘unsupported’ amid cuts to the Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme this week.

The State support has been cut from up to 350 euro this week to a maximum of 203 euro.

But the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party last night backed a motion to reverse the cut and the Taoiseach’s meeting the hospitality sector tomorrow about the issue.
