Confidence Expressed West Clare “Hidden Gem” Will See Visitor Boost This Season

Confidence has been expressed that one of Clare’s most famous heritage sites will see a significant growth in visitor numbers this year.

The 6th century monastic settlement of Scattery Island, which endured Vikings and rebellions, and saw a population revival after the famine, officially reopened for the tourist season last week.
