Clare Man Previously Told He Had 3 Months To Live Urges Others To Be Proactive On Cancer

A Clare native who was told he had 3 months to live last September is urging others to be proactive on Cancer.

Gordon Flannery, who’s currently a publican in Listowel, was diagnosed with Colon Cancer last year after he began to feel unwell months earlier.

Gordon’s patient files were subsequently transferred to the Mater Hospital in Dublin and he eventually underwent life-saving bowel surgery which removed most of his tumor and he now just has one more round of chemotherapy to complete.

He’s told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that people battling cancer should always consider getting a second opinion.
