Clare ISME Rep Warns Govt Reliance On Corporation Tax “Not Sustainable”

The Clare branch of the Irish Small and Medium Enterprise Council is warning the government’s “over reliance” on corporation tax receipts is not sustainable.

Ireland took in over €32.9bn in corporation tax last year, with over half of this amount stemming from just ten companies.

In it’s pre-budget submission, the ISME is calling on the Government to focus supports on indigenous entrepreneurs.

Owner of St Tola’s Goat Cheese and ISME Council Member Siobhán Ní Ghairbith says it’s critically important.
