Under new government plans, survivors seeking social housing will retain their place in the queue when they move to another county.

In 2025 alone, 125 people couldn’t be accommodated in Clare refuge services due to overwhelming demand.

Clare Haven Director of Services Dr Siobhán O’Connor says the current situation is a terrible indictment of the system.
