Clare’s County Dog Warden is reminding owners of restricted dog breeds that they must be kept on a lead and muzzled when in public.
The warning follows a dog attack earlier this week at Bunakippaun Woodland, near Tubber on the Clare-Galway border.

A German Shepherd being walked by a woman accompanied by two young children attacked another dog, leaving the smaller animal requiring stitches.
County Dog Warden Frankie Coote is investigating the incident.
