The Clare branch of the Irish Red Cross says it’s having to turn people in need away, due to a shortfall in resources.
The voluntary ambulance provider has issued an appeal for more drivers and volunteers in response to increased demand.

More than 12,400 voluntary hours were recroded last year, a rise of 28% on pre-pandemic levels, while there were more than 400 medical transports last year.
Treasurer James Lafferty says they don’t have enough drivers to meet demand.
