Clare Ambulance Personnel Claim “No Other Choice” But To Go On Strike

Ambulance personnel in Clare claim they have “no other choice” but to go on strike next month.

Roughly 2,000 ambulance workers, including paramedics and EMTs, are set to engage in industrial action in May as part of a long-running dispute over pay and conditions.

A 24-hour stoppage will take place on May 12th, with further escalations planned for later in the month and into June.

SIPTU Health Organiser John McCamley says workers’ roles have expanded while pay and conditions have stayed stagnant.
